Anthony Stoneware is the pottery of Paul Anthony and Tim Jaqua who work from their studio in Western North Carolina using traditional techniques of wheel-throwing and slab construction. Not only do they mix their own glazes, but the pottery is fired in a gas-fired kiln which they designed and built. Please note that glaze colors and textures will vary. For this reason, while your piece will be in the color family you select, a match with the photos can't be guaranteed. These variations are what make each piece unique and confirm the artisan nature of the work.

My husband uses this every time he cooks bacon. He loves it for BLT, breakfast etc. Have had it two years now and it shows no signs of age. We use store bought bacon usually medium to thick cut. Never had any problems. Thinking about ordering another one for our cabin. I'm very surprised at negative customer reviews. The thicker the bacon the longer it takes to crisp up. Some bacon is messier than others and we need to drape a paper towel over the mug but that's not the mugs fault. Lots of stuff makes a mess of the microwave if you don't cover it. Bacon shrinks as it cooks so it ends up draping properly therefore cooking properly. Use it all the time and love it!
