I haven't used this as a pot or pan cover yet. I've only used it in the microwave. It is a little heavy because it's glass. However, it has a better handle on top than cheaper covers. I've had a couple of the cheaper covers that were hard to grasp on top and have thrown them away.The diameter in this is a little too big for our microwave plate but it still works. I had a full glass cover before so I decided to go with this one to try it out and I like that you can make it shorter for food on plates that is just seating on the counter.Item very large, microwave plate wouldn't turnThe whole reason I bought this was storability factor. It shows that it can easily collapse to match whatever you need to cover or save space when storing. That is not the case. The upper crease collapses just fine but the lower one does not. I struggle with that one to the point that I stopped even trying at this point. That makes it more difficult to put in the dishwasher and to store when not in use. Overall I am rather disappointed with this product.Well packaged so it arrived in great condition, on time delivery and matched my kitchen decor perfectlyI've only had for a few days but so far really like this cover. It's high enough to not touch food and big enough around to cover well.Check item for defects before taking purchase payments please. You may want to add this defect inside item description if this is normal.Six silicone mold deformations are visibly prominent through the translucent plastic sealed bag on the last collapsed position. I couldn’t believe what I was looking at as I pulled it out of the box. I’m actually glad I only purchased one to make sure I didn’t have all three that I had originally planned on buying with unpleasant problems.With that being said I think this is an overpriced defective product But a nice concept.Large enough to fit all size plates & tall enough to cook artichokes easily!
