Although I love the design of this teapot I was so disappointed when the posts on the strainer broke. The strainer would not attach to the lid once this happened. I tried to locate the company for a replacement lid but was unable to find any information.I have carefully cleaned the teapot by hand and have never put in the dishwasher. The teapot design is beautiful. I would purchase again if they have fixed the problem with the strainer posts.
